The Multistar group of firms was established by Mr. Ming-Shiang Lee. There are three branch companies in the Multistar group namely Chien-Chang Ind Co, Bell Soshinic Onkyo (M) Sdn Bhd, and Multistar Ind Co Ltd.A reliable ODM/OEM manufacturer, Multistar has a total of four production lines for the manufacturing of electronic products such as the automatic light switch, occupancy sensor, ultrasonic sensor, siren and vehicle security system, and wireless home security system.
The electronic products manufacturing procedure includes:
1. Manual insertion production line: After the SMT mounting procedure, the PCB will be manually inserted with various components.
2. Auto solder machine (Soltec 6521 and Dual Wave): The PCB will be sent into the auto solder machine by the conveyor for soldering.
3. Manual soldering line: After the PCB comes out of the auto solder machine, the production personnel will examine the PCBs one-by-one and fix any improperly soldered PCB.
4. Testing station:
a. ICT (in-circuit test): Through computer-aided procedure, the in-circuit programmable auto tester can identify any problems with the PCB by checking if there is a short of open circuit.
b. Functional test: After the ICT test, the quality engineer will perform the auto functional programmable test through computer-aided procedures and use devices including the functional generator and digital storage oscilloscope to detect any defective units.
